I am Karen Hauser and I have been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker since 1980. I have witnessed how therapy can be a powerful, life-changing tool. It is gratifying to be able to help people grow and develop and to work through issues that create obstacles in their personal and professional growth.
I have been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker since 1980 when I received my master’s of social work from University of Denver. I have been in private practice since 1997. I have post-graduate certifications in family therapy, gerontology and critical incident stress debriefings. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including employee assistance programs, community mental health, hospitals, home health and with the military.
In my 30 years practicing as a licensed clinical therapist I have helped many people with a variety of issues, including:
- Depression, anxiety and stress management
- Difficulty communicating at work or with someone you care about
- Marriage and couples counseling
- Clinical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD)
- Trauma
- Counseling veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
- Adoption-related issues
I see clients through their Employee Assistance Programs and with insurance, and self-pay is always welcome.
